COVID-19, Business and Human Rights: Challenges and Strategies

This document proposes to examine the balance between the interests of business and individuals in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. It presents an analysis of the main factors influencing the search for such a balance, as well as a review of key behavioral strategies and certain specific measures that businesses, as employers and producers of goods and services, should take, and that the state, as a regulator, should implement to protect individuals as rights-holders and as the foundation of modern economic growth. The document has been prepared taking into account the recommendations of the ILO, WHO, UN OHCHR, the International Chamber of Commerce, and both Belarusian and international practices.
